What it means

For example: A claim was resent after a fix, as a new claim, while the first was still open.

The rejection is about the claim as it was sent, not about whether the care was right.

Why it usually happens

  • The claim was resent without the first one being cancelled.
  • Two people billed the same visit.
  • A correction was sent as a new claim.

How to fix this claim

  1. Find the original claim and check its status.
  2. If the second claim was a mistake, cancel it.
  3. If it was a correction, resend it as a correction of the original.
Mind the deadline. You have 15 days from the rejection to answer it (CHI Unified Health Insurance Contract, clause 5.4). Your contract with the insurer may set a different window, so check it.

How to stop it next time

Bill each visit once, from the visit itself.

This page explains the common causes. Your insurer’s policy and your contract decide each claim.

After the rejection

Nabdah keeps this rejection in front of you.

Each claim is built from one signed visit, so the same visit can’t be billed twice by accident. Each rejection sits in today’s list with its reason and its appeal date, so your biller works it in time.
